On August 26, the boys soccer team traveled to Westland to face off against the Panthers. The Vikes fought hard in their offensive shootout, but could not contain the Panthers stellar offense, ultimately falling 6-4.

Two days later, the Vikings looked to gain their first win taking on Bishop Hartley but failed to recreate the offense they had in the previous game, tallying one goal, losing 3-1 to the Hawks. The struggles for the Vikes continued as they matched up against Fairbanks and once again came up short, falling 2-0.

On September 6, the Vikes took on the tough Irish, but Dublin Scioto dominated in all facets, tallying 6 lead into Academy’s 0.

Looking to snap this losing streak, the Vikes travelled to Worthington Christian yet failed again to find an answer offensively, and the Warriors did not budge, taking the game 7-1. Most recently, the Vikings traveled Buckeye Valley, and despite some stronger defense, the Vikes fizzled out, losing 2-0. Junior captain Brandon H. said, on this rough stretch saying, “The past couple games we haven’t been able to finish our chances and win, but we hope to turn that around on Wednesday against Bexley.”
