On Thursday, May 8, the girls track team competed at Newark Catholic High school against 11 other teams: Delaware Christian, Fredericktown, Granville Christian Academy, Granville, Heath, Hebron Lakewood, Johnstown Northridge, Johnstown-Monroe, Licking Heights, Newark Catholic, and Zanesville.

In the short distance events, Mila B. claimed third in the 100m and 200m dashes, while Morgan S. won second in the 400m dash. In long distance events, Clara S. and Melanie Q. ran their way to fifth and sixth place respectively in the 3200m run. The 4×800 relay team took fourth. In field events, Lizzie B. shined in high jump, winning first spot. 

The Vikings next meet is Tuesday, May 13, at Franklin Heights.
