Girls lacrosse had three games last week, going 1-2 with a victory against Worthington Kilbourne and losses against Dublin Coffman and Mariemont. The team is now 3-4 on the season and 1-0 in its conference.
The team began the week traveling to Worthington to take on Kilbourne (currently 2-4 on the year) was no match for the Vikes, with Academy winning 11-9. Next up was Coffman. The Shamrocks are 4-1-1 on the season, and edged the Vikes 11-8 to hand Academy its first loss of the week.
To close out the week the Vikes welcomed Mariemont to Hondros. It started out close, with the teams locked at 4-4 at the close of the first quarter. The second quarter was also back and forth, with Mariemont taking a 7-6 lead into halftime. The third quarter got out of hand for the Vikes, with Mariemont taking an 11-8 lead. The fourth quarter was more even, but Academy failed to overcome the deficit, losing 13-10. Mary P. led the Vikes with 6 goals.
The team has a big week coming up, first with Thomas Worthington on Monday, April 14, followed by Bexley on Thursday, April 17. Both games are home.
