The baseball team started its season with losses against both Granville on Wednesday, April 2, and Bishop Watterson on Thursday, April 3.

Then Vikes faced off against Granville in a game that remained scoreless through its first three innings before the Blue Aces broke through with a three-run fourth. Academy was scoreless until the seventh when they managed to score two runs, but the late rally wasn’t enough, and they fell 2-4.

The following day, the Vikings traveled to Bishop Watterson to face off against the Eagles. Academy took an early 4-3 lead by the end of the third inning, but Watterson responded with a seven-run fourth inning, allowing them to pull away, giving the Vikings their second loss, 4-12.

The Vikings have more work to do as they aim for their first win of the season and will return to action on Monday, April 7, hosting the Grandview Heights Bobcats.
