Here’s a look at what’s been going on in sports:

The Ohio State Buckeyes are National Champions once again following a dominant win over Notre Dame– their first championship since 2014. The game began with a 10-minute Notre Dame drive resulting in a touchdown, but the Buckeyes bounced back, scoring 21 straight unanswered. They continued this momentum, beating the Irish 34-23. Experts have coined this championship as the hardest path in the history of College Football, because they had to beat five top-five opponents, including four back-to-back.

NFL: The Conference Championship games have come to a close, and we look back at who punched their ticket to the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans. The first game on the day was the NFC matchup where the Washington Commanders and phenom rookie quarterback Jayden Daniel’s took on star running back Saqon Barkley and the high flying Philadelphia Eagles. This game appeared competitive for most of the first quarter; however, the trio of Hurts, Barkley and Brown combined for 480 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns resulting in a 55-23 victory for the Eagles. The AFC championship game followed which saw Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills face off with the 2024 Super Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs. This highly anticipated game lived up to the hype once again as both teams delivered blows on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball over and over. As the fourth quarter commenced, the teams stood neck and neck but, ultimately, the magic of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs proved too much for the Bills once again resulting in a 32-29 victory for Kansas City. The Chiefs and Eagles will face off in New Orleans at the Caesars Superdome on Sunday, February 9, for the finale of the 2024-2025 NFL season.
