The Vikings have outscored opponents this week 188-97–almost a 100-point difference in just three games. There wasn’t a real test this week, but they handled business accordingly.
Starting with “The Battle in the 614,” Academy and New Lexington were inseparable as the Vikings held a three-point lead going into the second quarter. But it wasn’t until after halftime that the Vikings dominated, cleaning up the Panthers 59-34.
After a quick break, the Vikings traveled to Northside Christian for a beatdown of the Lions. The Vikes were favored coming in and stepped up and exceeded expectations with a 66-37 victory.
In the January 25 game in the Mack, Jason S. led the Vikes by 18 points in three quarters. The Bobcats never stood a chance and fell early to an aggressive Vikings offense with the help of a Jason Slam that stunned Grandview. The Vikings went up 41-11 at halftime and maintained control for a 63-26 finish.
Next up are the Bexley Lions, as the Maroon and Gray head to Bexley on Tuesday, January 28, in a CBL matchup and rivalry.
The Vikings play Worthington Christian at home on Friday, January 31.
