Academy’s wrestling squad hosted West Jeff’s Rough Riders on Wednesday, December 11. The Vikings didn’t bring their best, with just one win. Joseph G., Santiago P., and Henry S. lost their matches in the first round. Alex L. was Academy’s sole winner, conquering the 126 weight class. Absent from the match were Nina K. and Jackson R.

The Vikings next match was on Saturday, December 15, with a tournament at Hamilton Township, Coach Paul Hammond’s alma mater. Santiago P. was one just short of advancing to the next round. Joshua L. won one by pinning his opponent but lost his next two matches. No-win were Joseph G., Henry S., and Ishaan V. Jackson R. forfeited. Nina K. did not participate.
