Trailblazing has been a common theme for the class of 2025. The new senior potluck was no exception as another  tradition has come to fruition. On Wednesday, November 21, from 6-8 p.m, Friendsgiving, a potluck headed by Melanie Q., who saw an “Instagram post about a school’s holiday dinner” and decided to bring it to academy.

Along with turkey and the traditional fixings, students’ potluck included a rotisserie chicken, scalloped potatoes, Dean Thompson’s “Tennessee Onions,” Mac n’ Cheese, pumpkin, apple, and cherry pies, cheesecake, biscuits, corn bread, corn pudding. Fan favorites were Katie Z.’s scalloped potatoes and Arnav N.’s cranberry cheesecake.

Sixty-eight seniors came together and celebrated the holiday. Platters of food lined the fireside window of the Dining Hall, with a special dessert table in the middle. For activities, a special game table offered Jenga, cards, and photo props for fun pictures.

The senior potluck was a collaborative effort, along with the help of Dean Thompson and Upper School head, Ms. Izokaitis.

After such a successful event, it will be interesting to see how the class of 2025 will one-up themselves again in the new year.
