The girls tennis team cruised through last week as it defeated Buckeye Valley 4-1 on Tuesday, September 17, took down Franklin Heights in a 5-0 blowout on Wednesday, September 18, then moved on to win at Marietta 3-0 on Friday, September 20. 

Against Buckeye Valley, first doubles team Jennifer L. and Alina L. won 6-0, 6-0, as well as Isa E. and Mary P. in second doubles. Ela K. won 6-4, 6-1 in second singles, and Zephyr H. beat her matchup 7-6, 6-3. Lara W. lost 6-1, 6-1 in first singles.

Franklin Heights was no match for the Vikes. Zephyr won 6-0, 6-0 in third singles as well as Ela and Ella T. in first doubles and Mary and Lara in second doubles. Gabrielle S. beat her opponent 6-1, 6-0 in first singles, and Alina won 6-0, 6-1 in second singles. 

At Marietta, the team defeated the Tigers 3-0. Gabrielle aced her match, achieving a perfect score of 6-0, 6-0. Tamanna A. and Sophie W. won easily with a 6-0, 6-0 score in first doubles, and Mary and Lara won with a score of 6-1, 6-0 in second doubles. 

 The Vikings next match is Monday, September 23, at Worthington Kilbourne.
