On Monday, September 9, Academy’s girls soccer team hosted Cristo Rey for its 7 p.m. matchup. The Vikings offense was firing on all cylinders notching 13 goals. Lily L. and Haidi S. led the Viking’s attack with three goals and one assist. Academy won 13-0 with another stellar performance by the Vikings defense. 

On Wednesday, September 11, the Vikings continued their dominance en route to a 7-1 win over Columbus School for Girls. Once again, Haidi S. led the Vikings attack notching another three goals. After another dominant performance, Haidi S. scored a hat trick in six straight games with a total of 19 goals in that span.

Unfortunately for the Vikes, their Saturday matchup against the Buckeye Valley Barons was canceled due to the Barons lack of players. Despite this, Academy is still on top of the CBL and has extended its winning streak to six games.

This week, Academy will travel to Wellington on Monday, September 16, to face the 0-5 Jaguars. On Wednesday, September 18, the Vikings will return to Hondros to host Grandview Heights. The Vikings will be up for a challenge as the Bobcats enter the week at 5-1-1.
