Field Hockey went 1-1 on the week, with a victory against Granville at home followed by a close loss to Upper Arlington on Wednesday. Its Saturday home matchup vs Olentangy Liberty was canceled due to a lack of available players.
The Vikes started the week out strong on Monday, September 9, with a dominant 7-0 win over Granville. The victory saw goals from Braydn C., Carson K., Jessica S., Katie N., Bebe S., as well as two by Caroline A.
The team then traveled across town to take on the Upper Arlington Golden Bears on Wednesday, September 11. Both teams were undefeated going into the contest, making it the biggest game of the season for both the Vikings and the Bears. It was a tough, gritty game, but the Golden Bears bested the Vikes 3-0 to hand the team its first loss of the year.
The Vikes will look to get redemption against Lancaster on Monday, September 16. They will then welcome Thomas Worthington to Carlin Fields on Thursday, September 19.
