Missing four of its top seven runners, the boys cross country team tallied 391 points, placing 17th of 17 at the Newark Invitational on Saturday, September 14. 

Henry S. and Giuseppe P. led the pack in 52nd and 58th, with personal bests of 18:43.8 and 18:57.2, respectively. Graham A. finished 137th in 21:48.5, and Jude S. followed in 144th with a 22:06.9 personal record. Rounding out the top five, Luke K. crossed the line in 23:06.7, placing 166th. 

Other notable results include Dillan R. (23:52.7 for 176th), Devin L. (25:14.1 for 192nd) and Aiden Z. (29:26.4 for 208th) with lifetime bests, and Andy R. making his high school debut. 

The Vikings will celebrate Xander H-VR., Matt T., and Alester X., at a 2-mile senior night race against Newark Catholic on Wednesday, September 18, at 5:00 p.m.
