On Wednesday, September 4, the Vikings hosted Whitehall in a 7 p.m. contest. Academy got off to a fast start and didn’t look back, totaling 13 goals in their shutout against the Rams. Senior Haidi S. led the Vikings with three goals, and Carolina M. and Addison M. each added two goals.

Academy traveled to Westland to face off against the Cougars on Thursday, September 5, for it 6 p.m. encounter. The Vikings picked up right where they left off offensively amassing 16 goals. The Vikings defense was stellar again with their fifth shutout of the year. Haidi S. and Lily L. led the scoring with three goals and two assists each. 

On Saturday, September 7, Academy faced off against Tree of Life at 11 a.m. Once again, Haidi S. led with three goals. The Vikings defense stayed strong, only allowing one goal in their 5-1 win over the Trojans.

In this three-game span, Academy scored 34 goals while only allowing one goal. Haidi S. scored a hat trick in each game this week, adding to her team-leading 17 goals. Academy’s three impressive wins this week puts them at 7-2 on the year and maintain their spot at the top of the CBL.

On Monday, September 9, the Vikings will return to Hondros to face off against the 1-4 Cristo Rey Cougars at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, September 11, Academy will travel to Columbus School for Girls for their 5 p.m. matchup against the 2-4 Unicorns. To finish off the week, on Saturday 14, the Vikings will travel to Buckeye Valley to face the 4-2 Barons at 11 a.m.
