Field Hockey Keeps Winning

Field hockey continued its unbeaten streak last week, with convincing wins against Dublin Coffman and Bexley. The Vikes, now 8-0 on the season, have outscored their opponents by a combined 33-4 thus far. 

The Vikes started the week on Tuesday, September 3, with yet another home game, their fifth in a row. This time they welcomed Dublin Coffman to Carlin. The team struggled in the first half, going into the break tied 1-1 thanks to a goal by Katie V. The Vikes found their groove in the second half, with goals from Bradyn C. and Katie N., paving the way to a 3-1 victory. 

The Vikes were back in action on Thursday, September 5, traveling to take on the Bexley Lions. They played a dominant game, with two goals from Bradyn, followed by two combined from Katie V. and Alicia L. en route to a 4-0 Vikings victory. 

The Vikes have a busy week coming up. They face Granville at home on Monday, September 9, then travel to Upper Arlington to take on the Golden Bears on Wednesday, September 11, and conclude the week with a home matchup against Olentangy Liberty on Saturday, September 14.
