Competing in the Division II race at the Watkins Memorial McGowan Invitational on Saturday, September 7, the boys cross country team achieved eight personal records and four season records.

The 5000m-course around a shaded trail and weather in the high 60’s made for perfect racing conditions. Dane C. led the pack with a 20-second best, medaling in 11th with 16:47.60. Andy B. and Giuseppe P. finished in 45th and 48th, clocking in at 18:56.10 and 19:17.40, respectively. To round out the top five, Alester X. and Graham A. sprinted neck-and-neck to the finish, placing 73rd and 74th with respective times 21:01.40 and 21:02.10.

Missing two of their varsity runners, the boys finished with 200 points, placing seventh out of 11 teams.

On Saturday, September 14, the runners travel to the Newark Invitational, a new race in the schedule that returning members have not run before.
