Academy’s girls soccer welcomed the Granville Blue Aces to Hondros Field for their 7 p.m. encounter on August 26. The Blue Aces were strong on attack and played everything through the middle. Academy got down early and couldn’t keep up. The Vikings lost 4-1 with a goal from senior Haidi S. assisted by junior Allison F.
On Wednesday, August 27, the Vikings ventured to Franklin Heights for their 7 p.m. matchup against the Golden Falcons. The Vikings offense couldn’t be contained as they tallied 13 goals. Haidi S. led the way, amassing four goals and three assists. Even goalkeeper Taylor G. got active adding two goals of her own.
Despite their loss to the Blue Aces, the Vikings still rank first in the CBL.
Academy has a busy schedule this week at home starting with Whitehall–who Academy has beaten in their last eight matchups including a dominant 11-0 win last year–on Wednesday, September 4 and away against Westland on Thursday, September 5, and away at the Tree of Life on Saturday, September 7.
