In the girls cross country weekly competition, the Vikings capitalized on their chance with five runners finishing in the top 100 of 204. 

Clara S. led the way finishing in 22nd with a time of 22:08.46. 

Miranda B-Y., Claire C., Sophie L. and Melanie Q. rounded out the top 100 for Academy. 

The Vikings effort was enough to claim the team a 7th-place finish overall.

The Vikes will return to action on Saturday, September 7, for the McGowan Cross Country Invitational at Watkins Memorial.
