Boys lacrosse concluded their regular season by winning three straight at home, putting them at 10-7 on the year and 5-4 in the conference. They began the week with an easy matchup against Delaware Hayes. Despite a sloppy start, the Vikes took care of business, beating the Pacers 8-5.
Next up was Pickerington North. The Vikes came ready to play, dominating the Panthers for four quarters en route to a 10-4 victory.
Academy concluded the home stand on Saturday as they welcomed Gahanna Lincoln to Hondros for the regular season finale. It was a tight game, but a strong performance at the face-off position by Graham J. kept the Vikes in it. The score remained tied 8-8 at the end of regulation, so the game went into a sudden-death overtime. Graham won the face-off and worked the ball around to Ryne W., who buried a shot in the back of the net to secure the win for the Vikes.
The boys will begin their postseason next Friday at home against Oakwood, whose tem enjoyed a successful regular season, going 10-6 overall. It will be an exciting matchup for the Vikes.
