Service Board Looks Ahead to a Busy Month

Service Board sprang into a busy April after returning from break last week. It ran a successful Pop-Up shop where clothes were donated to students who needed them. This week Service Board will run Faith Mission and the final blood drive of the year on Wednesday, April 10. For those seniors still needing their in-school service hours, this is a fantastic opportunity to get them with one hour shifts to sign up for. Due to falling on the same day as the mandated SAT test, there’s a need for more donors and volunteers to set up.

On Wednesday, April 17, Service Board will talk to the 8th graders about the Upper School Service requirements and how they can obtain their hours. This preludes the Meet The Candidates event on Friday, April 19, where shapers will ask SB presidential candidates both silly and serious questions in front of people. Justin A. and Arya C., Service Board president and vice-president respectively, will draw questions from a hat and ask them. After the students get to know the candidates better, they will vote on Wednesday, April 24 with a preferential ballot to determine who will fill these leadership positions.

With so much going on, here is a friendly reminder to seniors that off campus Service hours are due on Wednesday, April 10.
