After three canceled matches, boys varsity tennis clinched two wins during the first week of its season. The Vikes hosted Olentangy Liberty on Friday, April 5, with  Lucas X. dominating at second singles, winning 6-1, 6-1. Jacob K. followed suit with a 6-1, 7-5 win at third singles. Rowen L. and Ian C. sealed the deal with 6-3, 6-1 at first doubles to give the Vikings a 3-2 overall win.

The team traveled to Massillon the following day, defeating Jackson with another 3-2 victory. Lucas X. continued his winning streak with a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at second singles. Sujay B. made his high school tennis debut with a 6-0, 6-2 at third singles, and Ian C. and Jayden T. fought for a three-set 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 victory at second doubles. 

The tennis Vikings will compete at Whitehall-Yearling on Tuesday, April 9, and in the Upper Arlington Doubles Tournament on Wednesday, February 10. The Vikes will host rival Bexley on Thursday, April 11, at 4:30 p.m. in the Madison Cup.
