In honor of the Vikings’ first home game on Thursday, April 4, the team celebrated Youth Night in its matchup against Bexley. The stands were filled with many young Vikes as the game kicked off at 6:30 p.m.

To open, Carson K. sent the ball soaring past the goalie to put the Vike’s first point on the board. Alongside her goal, Kyndal S., Katie J., and Bebe S. next scored one goal to bump up the score. Shaia Y. scored twice, and both Morgan H. and Mary P. dominated the Lion’s defense, adding 5 goals each to the final score.

The crowd, filled with many junior Vikes, erupted every time the team buried the ball in the opposing team’s net. During halftime, the Vikings brought all the young fans down to the field and handed out tee-shirts and balls to honor them.

When the clock ran out, the final score read 16-7 in favor of the Maroon and Grey.

The Vikings return to action on Tuesday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. at home to face off against Bishop Hartley.
