Bowling falters in Two Weeks of Play

Both bowling teams for Academy struggled in two quiet weeks. On Wednesday January 17, the boys squad lost to rival Bexley 1398-1706. Adi S. led with 325, Mark D. collected 265, captain Josh K. followed with 245, Phinn B. had 211, and Henry W. finished with 141. The Vices lost bakers 202-268. The girls also lost to the Lions 1468-1159. Morgan L. placed first for the Vikes with 250, Sophie F. followed with 234, Addy Butler bowled 195, Ellen H. had 157, and Lynn Y. ended the evening with 141. The girls fell in bakers 219-182.

The Striking Vikings competed against Mifflin the following week. The boys fell 1472-1847. Adam led again with 283, followed by Robbie with 270. Josh scored 224. Henry was right behind with 218, and Sean J. and Phinn combined for 187. The girls beat the Cowmen 1192-1071. Addy led with 224, Morgan downed 193, Ellen netted 173, Lynn got 167, and Sophie finished with 120.

The team plays at Penn Lanes against Buckeye Valley on Monday, January 29, followed by a match at HP Lanes against East High on Wednesday, January 31.
