Ice Hockey Loses Two at Home

Ben K. (Lauren G./Staff)

Looking to grab their first win of the season, the Vikes traveled to Chiller Easton to play Kilbourne on Friday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. This marked the second meet up for these two teams in just the first few weeks of the season. Knowing their opponent, the Vikings capitalized and made two goals in the first period, one from Joseph S. and the other from Will B., leaving the Wolves scoreless.

With the two-goal lead, the Maroon and Grey worked to keep the Wolves out of their defensive end. But Kilbourne fought back and bagged 6 goals in a row. The final score read 6-2.

The Vikings journeyed to Chiller Dublin on Saturday, December 16 at 8:15 p.m. to play Dublin Coffman. Unable to break past the Rock’s defense, the team lost 5-0.

The Vikes will return to the Chiller on Sunday, January 7 at 6 p.m. for Senior Night.
