Tens Go Fish: Seniors play K-Buddies in Math Games

Seniors headed to the Dining Hall during advisory on Tuesday, December 5 to participate in fun math games with their Kindergarten buddies. The pairs played a spin-off of Go Fish. In this version, the kindergarten students matched numbers adding up to 10, instead of finding cards of the same number, as in the original game.

Next the groups played tic-tac-toe and sticks and dots and boxes. Seniors were eager to help their K-buddies improve their addition and subtraction skills while also enjoying quality time together.

Senior pair Grace R. and Alivia S. said, “I loved seeing Vivian’s mathematical process and her excitement when she found a match. It was a lot of fun to see her become more confident in her math skills as we played.”
