Girls basketball suffered three losses after traveling to Bexley on Tuesday, December 5, to Licking Valley on Wednesday, December 6, and when hosting Bishop Ready on Saturday, December 9.

In its first game against Bexley, the Vikes scored 10 points right off the bat and led 22-21 at halftime but fell 35-38 despite Kendall O. shooting two three-pointers and Alison C. contributing one. Kendall had a score of 17, followed by Allison F. with 7 points.

The girls traveled to Licking Valley the following day, losing 39-49. Kendall contributed 3 three-pointers with a score of 11, followed by Allison’s 9 points. Alison C., Katie N., and Sam W. each tallied a three-pointer as well, but the Panthers prevailed.

Looking to achieve a win in The Mack, the Vikings hosted Bishop Ready three days later. Once again, Kendall’s three three-pointers made her the highest scorer with 14 points. Katie also contributed a three-pointer, and Eleanor S.’s three propelled her to the second-highest scorer with 7 points. In the second-to-last play of the game, Sam’s three pulled the girls ahead but fell short when the Silver Knights scored, with a 40-39 win.

Hoping for better outcomes next week, the team hosts Columbus International on Monday, December 11 and Columbus School for Girls on Friday, December 15.
