The Upper School gathered on Monday, November 27, at assembly to honor Yasemin B. and Arya C. for winning the Girls Tennis Division II Doubles State Championship.

At assembly, Mr. Singleton introduced the team, listing their its accomplishments over the years, including their second-place win in this year’s D2 state team tournament. He praised Coach Eberlyn for his successful first season at CA and for earning The Columbus Dispatch’s All-Metro Coach of the Year.

After Mr. Singleton’s congratulations, Yasemin and Arya led the upper school outside and took turns raising the flag with “State Champs” printed on it.

Yasemin and Arya’s 3-hour at states make them join the annals of Academy history as one of the teams who reached the peak of its field. Congratulations on a triumphant season!
