In their first postseason race, our X-C Vikings traveled to Hilliard Darby on Saturday, October 21 for districts.

Clara S. and Melanie Q. set the pace with a season-best 20:42.96 and 21:22.70 to get 7th and 14th, respectively, followed by Sophie L. with a 34th-ranked 23:21.45. Contributing two personal records, Claire D.’s 36th-ranked 23:28.71 and Indigo K.’s 53rd-ranked 26:22.95 added to the girls 6th-place.

In the boys race, Dane C. captured 9th with a personal record of 17:07.70 while Chris H. nabbed 30th with 18:06.70. Gaining 38th, 46th, and 57th, Elliot S., Andy B., and Henry S. clocked in at 18:39.45, 18:52.95, and a personal best 19:25.71, respectively.

Andy said, “I’m happy I joined this team and we made it this far, even though it’s been a rocky season. Districts may not have gone the way we expected, but I’m still proud of us.”

With the top 16 qualifying, cheer on Clara, Dane, and Melanie at regionals on Saturday, October 28, at Pickerington North.
