Despite rainy conditions, cars lined Campus Drive and students dressed in Halloween spirit as they cheered for the football team’s final game of the regular season. The Vikes hosted Bishop Ready on Friday, October 20, losing 28-7.

The Silver Nights scored twice in the first half, and wide receiver Justin A. contributed Academy’s sole touchdown in quarter two. He hurdled over the defender and ran to the end zone, bringing the score to 14-7.

Bishop Ready doubled its score in quarter three, tallying two touchdowns and leaving the Vikes trailing 28-7. The Silver Nights took home the title of Central Buckeye League Champions, leaving Academy with a season record of 9-1.

The Vikes return to Hondros on Friday, October 27 for the first round of regional playoffs against Utica.
