Football traveled to Buckeye Valley to tally its ninth consecutive victory on Friday, October 13.

The Vikes started out with a bang, scoring two touchdowns in quarter one as quarterback Jack Y. and running back Mikey J. found each other and sprinted into the right end zone. Tight end Tommy J. extended the lead to 20-0 in quarter two while defense prevented the Barons from making a comeback.

Starting with possession in the second half, running back Greyson T. tallied another score with a strong run to the end zone. Buckeye Valley scored its only touchdown of the night and succeeded in a two-point conversion, bringing the score to 27-8. With two minutes remaining in quarter three, Mikey barged through the Baron’s defense to gain a close-range touchdown.

In quarter four, defensive back Carson J. snatched an interception and ran 80 yards to the end zone, leading the Vikes to a 41-8 victory.

Football’s 9-0 record marks a feat that the team has not achieved since 1988. It returns to action on Friday, October 20 against Bishop Ready for its final home game, striving for a double-digit winning streak.
