Despite the fall break, students showed their support for football by dressing in pink as they watched the team capture its eighth victory on Friday, October 6. 

Possession of the ball alternated between the Worthington Christian and the Vikes until action struck with two seconds left in the first quarter. Defensive end Mikey J. sprinted tight end Will B.’s interception from the 12-yard line into the end zone, and defensive back Theo F. added a two-point conversion. 

In quarter two, wide receiver Justin A. ran a jet sweep through the Warriors defense for a touchdown. Quarterback Jack Y. found Mikey for a 63-yard touchdown reception, pulling the Vikes ahead 22-0. With fourteen seconds left, Jack completed a 59-yard pass to Justin A., tallying seven more points.

Leading 29-0 at half, wide receiver Gabe D-R. and running back Greyson T. carried the steam into quarter three with a 57-yard jet sweep and run to the end zone. The Warriors scored their only touchdown with five minutes to go, but it was futile as the Vikes dominated 42-6. 

Winning eight games and losing none so far, football travels to Buckeye Valley on Friday, October 13 to conclude its preseason play.
