Field Hockey Goes 9-2-1

The field hockey team welcomed Upper Arlington to Carlin Fields on Tuesday, September 26, firing off shots in the first half but getting shut down the Golden Bears’ keeper. With six seconds remaining in the first half, Upper Arlington found the back of the cage, making the score 1-0. Entering the third quarter, the Golden Bears extended their lead with a goal from inside the circle. The Vikes failed to come back, losing 0-2.

The Vikings returned to Carlin on Thursday, September 28, to take on Shaker Heights. By the end of the 60 minutes, the score remained 0-0, resulting in a sudden death overtime. Both the Vikings and the Red Raiders came out goalless, ending the game in a 0-0 tie.

The girls return home to battle Lancaster on Monday, October 2, and away against New Albany on Wednesday, October 4.
