Volleball loses to Bexley, leaving Vikes at 3-1

Opening the week at home, the Vikes faced Whitehall on Tuesday, September 5. Using the momentum from their win last week, Academy swept the Rams in 3 quick sets. 

Taking its winning streak to 3 games, the Maroon and Grey looked to add another one at Bexley on Thursday, September 8. The Lions opened the game fast, earning a 7 point lead. Fighting back, our girls lost the first set 25-16. Opening up set number 2 with a score of 8-4, the Vikes captured the set with a score of 25-20. The Lions used the loss to propel their lead in set 3 to 14-6 and earned a score of 25-16. The Vikes battled for set 4, ending with 25-23, ending with the Lions’ win and the Vikes final score.

The Vikes will host Bishop Ready on Tuesday, September 12 at 7 p.m. for Senior Night!
