Boys track traveled to Johnstown-Monroe to compete in the “Johnnie Relays” on Friday, May 5. The and secured a victory against Grove City Christian, Highland, Johnstown-Monroe, and Licking Heights. 

Justin A., Charlie B., Carson J., and Emmanuel J. placed first in the 4×100 with 45.67. In shuttle hurdles, Gabe A., Charlie B., Chazlance M.,and Stavros M. led in 1:09.28. 

Distance runners Dane C., Chris H., Colin H., and Elliot S. clinched two second-place finishes in the 4×1600 and the distance medley (800/400/1200/1600). The 4×200 squad of Justin A., Gabe D-R, Emmanuel J., and Ayden N. crossed the line second at 1:36.60, only eight-hundredths of a second short of first-place Johnstown-Monroe. 

In shot put, Marcus J. and Max Z. threw a 80’5.25”, placing them in second. Justin A. and Ayden N. leapt a combined 36’5.5” in long jump and earned second-place. 

In postseason, Academy compete in the MSL at Whitehall-Yearling next week, with the preliminary round on Tuesday, May 9, followed by the finals on Thursday, May 11.
