Competing in the first ever girls wrestling state championship, Ceci R. and Nina K. made history. The three day competition was held from Friday, March 10 through Sunday, March 12 at the Schottenstein Center.

Each weight class had 16 girls, so only the top 4 from each region participated in the state championship.

Nina lost her first two matches and moved into the consolation bracket.

Ceci gained two early wins, securing her a spot on the podium. She fell in her third match up against the current two-time state champion. Her record moved to 2-2 for the weekend, earning her the 4th place finish.
