In 2019, Knives Out blended thriller with comedy and romance. By popular demand, director Rian Johnson set out on creating a sequel: Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Released to Netflix on December 23, 2022, the film racked up over 209 million hours of viewership in fewer than two weeks. 

Tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton), invites some of his closest friends to a getaway on a secluded tropical island. Upon their arrival, he throws a lavish party, but panic arises after someone dies. World-class detective, Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) unravels the crime.

Craig demonstrated an intelligent, relentless Blanc. Edward Norton his true identity very well. I never expected the thoughtful billionaire to be the villain! The other characters were all phenomenal in their own ways, each adding a unique angle to the mystery. Madelyn Cline and Dave Bautista’s characters display the perfect amount of romance, while Kate Hudson portrays an eccentric fashion designer. 

I enjoyed watching this movie because it was one of the few mystery movies I could not figure out because different clues were added until the last minute. Its plot twists will play tricks on you and give you a good laugh.
