No Spark for Girls Basketball

The Vikings faced and lost 71-32 to Watkins Memorial on Tuesday, January 17. In the first quarter, the Vikings had a solid offensive output as Emily R. made a three-pointer and a free throw. The girls scored eleven points yet trailed 25-11. During the second quarter, the team’s offense slowed down and it only scored 7 points. Allison F. had two layups and one free throw, yet the girls still trailed 45-18 going into halftime. As the third quater started, turnovers plagued the Vikings, who trailed at 65-29. The top scorers, Emily R. and Allison F., each had nine points with Adaugo N. at eight points. 

The Vikings faced the Buckeye Valley Barons on Friday, January 20. The Barons jumped out a 28-11 lead at halftime and continued to dominate defeating Academy 54-25.

The Vikings face Wellington at home on Tuesday, January 24, and face CSG away on Saturday, January 28.
