Boys swimming swept Lancaster Fairfield Union 133-12 to start off their season Wednesday, November 30, at home.
Alek B., Luke B., Mircea B., and Andy L. took first in the 200 medley with Jonathon H., Andrew H., Micheal R., and Greyson T. placing second, and both groups scoring the team twelve points. Andrew H., William H., Micheal R., and Gavin L. took gold in 400 freestyle, and Dorian B., Mason H., Jonathon H., and Hu-Van X. took silver earning twelve points.
William H., Andy L., and Dorian B. took first, second and third place respectively in the 200 freestyle and scored thirteen points. Alek B. dominated the 200 individual, taking first while Michael R. took second, and Mason H. third, securing another ten points.
In the 50 freestyle, Gavin L. placed first and Mircea B. followed in second place. Alek. B. got another gold medal in the 100 butterfly along with three more points.
Luke B. took first, Greyson T. second, and Jonathon H. came in third in the 100 freestyle securing another thirteen points. Gavin L., William H., and Michael R. dominated in the 500 freestyle taking first, second and third respectively, and netting the team thirteen points. In the 100 backstroke, Luke B., Jonathan H., and Dorian B. took first, second, and third, respectively widening the schools lead with another thirteen points.
The Lancaster Fairfield Union boys did place above any one of our Vikings in any event.
On the following Saturday, December 3, the team traveled to Upper Arlington for the season’s first tournament.
Andrew H., William H., Andy L., and Gavin L. swam the 200 Relay, coming in fourth. Luke B., Mircea B., Andrew H., and Gavin L. took third in the 400 freestyle
Alek B., Mircea B., Luke B., and Andy L. placed fourth in the 200 Y freestyle, while Gavin L. narrowly missed the podium, taking fifth in the 50 freestyle. William H. placed eighth. Andy L. was tenth in the 100 freestyle and Gavin L. placed eleventh. Finishing the tournament, Andrew H. took fourth in the 100 backstroke and Andy L. placed ninth.
