Mrs. Soderberg invited the girls varsity golf team and their coach, Maggie F., to join Mr. Singleton and her on the stage as they were recognized for their individual and team accomplishments at the October 31 assembly. Upper school students and faculty followed the team out of the theatre and gathered around the flagpole to watch the team take part in its first flag raising ceremony, an Academy tradition that celebrates the efforts of teams winning a state championship.

This season was the team’s first state win after being established after only 4 years ago.
