Every week, The Columbus Dispatch acknowledges the accomplishments of student athletes in the greater Columbus Area and hosts a vote to recognize the Athlete of the Week. There were 19 candidates for last week’s vote, which started on October 16 and ended on October 21. 

Angela H. was nominated for her contributions to the Viking’s recent golf state championship win. She was also victorious in the voting, adding another triumph to her list.

Angela dominated the polls with 3,832 or 31.96% of the total votes. The second place finisher, Dylan R., trailed by 692 votes, with 26.19% of the votes. 

Angela said, “It is an honor to be named athlete of the week by the Columbus Dispatch, and thank you to everyone who voted for me, and to my amazing team and coach who have been so supportive”.
