Girls soccer continued its losing streak with an 0-2 loss against The Columbus School For Girls on Monday, October 10.
The Vikings found themselves on their heels in the first half with CSG’s offense taking control of the ball in Viking territory. Defender, Clair C. prevented shots on goal two times, and goalie, Taylor G., made an impressive save near the end of the half.
Despite ending the first half tied, CSG scored two twice off of corner kicks within the first fifteen minutes of the second half. The Viking offense took control of the ball and made a last-ditch effort to come back but failed to get around CSG’s defense.
On Wednesday, October 12, the girls played rival, Bexley, on the Hondros Field and suffered a crushing first half with the Lions scoring three goals despite Taylor G. making a lot of saves. The Vikes opened the second half aggressively with a goal but CSG scored another three goals near the end.
The girls hold a 3-8-0 record moving into the postseason.
