On Wednesday, February 23, the Aquavikes traveled to Canton for states. The team finished 12th, with seven qualifiers: Alek B., Drake B., Luke B., William H., Gavin L., Andy L., and Cy R.
On Thursday morning, February 24, the squad took off for the C.T. Branin Natatorium to swim in prelims.
The 200 and 400 free relays qualified for championship finals with their 7th and 8th place finishes while the 200 medley relay squeaked into the last spot of consolation finals with 16th.
Gavin L. narrowly missed finals in the 100 free after receiving 17th, but after tying for 16th in the 50 free and having a swim off to decide who would get the last spot in finals, Gavin L. qualified. He won the swim-off with a time of 21.65 seconds, a .43 second drop from prelims and a .22 second margin of victory.
William H. qualified for consolation finals in both the 200 IM and 100 breast after coming in 11th and 12th.
On Friday, February 25, the team returned to the pool, ready for finals.
The 200 medley relay raced to 13th as did Gavin L. in the 50 free.
The 200 and 400 free relays podiumed in 6th and 7th.
In the 200 IM and 100 breast, William H. nabbed 13th and 16th.
The swim season concluded with a banquet in the dining hall on Saturday, February 27.
