Girls Swimming Crushes the Lions

Facing their biggest rival, Bexley, the Aqua Vikes triumphed by 70 points on January 7. 

Starting off in first place was the 200 Medley relay, followed by the 200 individual medley, 100 fly, 50 freestyle, 100 free, 200 freestyle relay, and 100 breaststroke.

On Saturday, January 8, the girls beat Dover by 18 points. Mary Kate P., Alexandra B., Rene F., and Olivia L. placed first in the 200 Medley relay. 

After starting with a narrow win of less than two seconds, Lauren K. placed first in the 200 free in  2:04.84 and later won the 100 free. 

Olivia L. won the 50 free with Alexandra B. coming in second. Lauren. Other first-place winners were Mary Kate P. in the 500 free,  200 free relay, and the 100 breaststroke. Emma Y. took home the 400 freestyle relay.

Aquavikes faced Wellington and Bishop Hartley and Wellington on January 13. The girls started strong with wins in the 200 medley relay, the 200 free and the 50 freestyle. 

Olivia L. and Rene F. gained first place victories in the 100 fly and 100 free,  followed by a win from Lauren K. in the 500 free. To finish out the meet, the girls placed first in the 200 freestyle relay, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, and 400 freestyle relay. 

Northeast Classic Update

At the January 15 Northeast Classic in Canton the team placed 6th place in the 200 medley relay, followed by a 5th place finish in the 200 individual medley by Lauren K. and 14th  by Olivia L.

Lauren K. placed 5th in the 100 fly with Alexandra B. placing 29th in the 100 free. Emma Y., Rene F., Ella L, and Alexandra B. placed 10th out of 21 in the 200 freestyle relay.
