Cradle Series: Magic Meets Martial Arts

Will Wight’s series of The Cradle, set in a medieval-style tale of a magical martial arts world, is inspired by Korean and Chinese mythology and the xianxia (Chinese fantasy) genre. It follows the story of Wei Shi Lindon, a powerless member of the Wei clan, who turns his life around after a heavenly messenger shows him the future where a mysterious and monstrous force destroys the valley he lives in, killing him and everyone he loves.

Lindon journeys to gain enough power to prevent this and makes a cast of friends and enemies along the way. This fast-paced series spans ten books, with the first, Unsouled, published in 2017, followed by Soulsmith, Blackflame, Skysworn, Ghostwater, Underlord, Uncrowned, Wintersteel, Bloodline, and Reaped, published by Wight’s company, Hidden Gnome. Fantasy lovers along with action fans who want to broaden their fantasy reading horizons will find any of the set’s books a page-turner.
