The varsity football team dominated on Friday, September 17 in front of a home crowd and crushed Bishop Ready 28-14 during the televised event.
CA started off the game with a bang, closing out the first quarter with a 14-0 lead. Carter James ran for 6 yards to secure the first touchdown while Max Popp kicked the extra point. Two-and-a-half minutes later, Henry Rubey connected with Parker Logan for a 36-yard touchdown, followed with another extra point by Popp.
The second quarter went to the Silver Knights as they ran for two yards to score a touchdown, bringing the score to 14-7 at the half.
The Vikes answered with a pass to Emmanuel Jenkins for another 36-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The fourth quarter opened with a 12-yard pass to Logan, bringing the score to 28.
Bishop Ready picked up the last points of the game with a 4-yard rush and an extra point for a game total of 14.
The Vikes face Buckeye Valley on Friday, September, 24 at home.
