On April 26, 2021, students gathered in Mr. Corey’s room to watch the exciting Battleship Bots Competition take place.

Out of 85 Honors Computer Science 2 and 3 students who programmed bots, 16 made it to the finals to compete until there is a winner in the 2021 Battleship Bot Competition.

Students competed in rounds of the classic game, Battleship, where each pair battle it out in 3 games. The winners moved on to the next round.

After an exhilarating first few rounds, Grace Luo’23, Ethan Weiser ‘22, Josh Tu ’21, and Soham Joshi ’22 made it to the semi-finals. After some upsets and close races, Luo and Weiser made it to the finals.

In a tight final race, Ethan Weiser came out on top with a 3-1 victory.

This competition was a fun way to get all students involved in Computer Science, as it gave kids a chance to take a break from the busy day and watch their peers battle it out in a competition.
