Continuing our Faith Mission Tradition

In spite of COVID, Service Board continues its almost 40-year tradition of donating meals to Faith Mission, one of Columbus’s largest homeless shelters. Thanks to generous donors like the Galbreath Family, what started as a quarterly service event soon blossomed into a monthly tradition. For many years, school nurse, Beckie Hoagland, has coordinated the meal delivery, transportation and student volunteers. MS math teacher Matt McCue and US Ethics and Community Coordinator Tim Leet assist.

Because COVID restrictions stopped US students from serving dinner at Faith Mission the second Tuesday of every month, Shaper Yashu Tanneru ‘22 initiated a way to maintain student involvement. She added bagged treats to the monthly meals because the men have so few possessions.

A sign-up form will be emailed from Yashvi  to help  assemble trail mix treats on eachsecond Monday of every month.
