Because of COVID-19, our boys and girls matches were cancelled against Liberty Christian and Columbus West on January 13 and 15, so the Vikes celebrated Senior Night during their Thursday, January 14 practice.

Honored for their dedication to the program were Cole Leis, Evelyn Olexio, Jake Podgurski, Maddy Rosenberg, Skyler Simpson, Gabe Taub and Vincent White.

The male striking Vikings focused on using this time to build chemistry, as stated by White. In his words, “If we can all get in sync, we’ll be unstoppable”. The boys will take on Hamilton Township on Tuesday, January 19, at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

The girls will have the following week off as well before a busy 3 match week. The Vikes look to continue their momentum when the team faces Worthington Christian and Beechcroft on Monday, January 25, at High Performance Lanes, before traveling to Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl to take on Hamilton Township on Tuesday, January 26.

The girls go into each game with 4 bowlers against 5, starting at a deficit. Despite this, leader Maddy Rosenberg remains optimistic. In her words, “The whole team has remained positive and given each match their all.” She says that she is “very proud to be a member of the team” and is “looking forward to the remainder of the season”.
