On Saturday, October 3, our girls cross country team took its fresh legs to Olentangy Berlin’s Bear Den Dash, where it raced against a stacked Division 1 field.

Senior Regan Cornelius surged forward into 3rd place with a 19:26, the sixth-fastest girls’ time in school history. Samantha Frickel’23 and Julia DeVore’22 had stellar performances, clocking in at 22:24 and 22:58, and securing 69th and 76th. Caitlynn Hinds’24, Maya Corridore’23, Maria Masek’24, and Cat Gerst’23 finished 77th, 88th, 89th, and 90th, respectively.

The team earned 11th place, outrunning Bloom-Carroll, Mount Vernon, and Westland but falling short to Division 1 powerhouses Dublin Coffman and Upper Arlington. Out girls next race is the 2-mile Darby Dash at Hilliard Darby on Tuesday, October 6.
