One week after its big win over archrivals, Thomas Worthington, on Tuesday, September 29, the field hockey team hosted Bishop Hartley on Carlin Field.

Our girls started off strong, jumping out to a quick lead and building onto it throughout the game, with goals from Regan Cornelius’21 (2), Sarah Klingerman’21 (2), Charlotte Adams’21 (1), Zoey Black’21 (1), Claudia Klingbeil’22 (1), Carolyn Vaziri’22 (1), Avery Mitchell’22 (1), Sophia MacDonald’22 (1), and Adeti Mohanselvan’23 (1), contributing to an 11-0 victory. This game made it clear that the team’s extra work on one of its few weaknesses–corners–is paying off in a big way.

The scoreline shows not only a win, but a true team effort, with nine players scoring. This demonstrates the team’s development as a whole in addition to the increased contributions from individual players. This depth will help the team as it continues to battle for a three-peat state championship down the stretch.

The 11-1 squad will look to further improve its record at home against New Albany on Tuesday, October 6 and against Granville on Thursday, October 8.
