After nearly a 5 year break from releasing albums, Selena Gomez came out with, “Rare”  along with singles since her last album, “Revival,” including “Wolves,” “Bad Liar,” and “Back To You.”

Gomez released 13 songs “Rare” on January 10, 2020, at midnight on all music streaming platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and Youtube.

“Dance Again” and “Look At Her Now” show she has moved on from past trauma and is ready to live life.  “Feels so good to dance again” is more upbeat than the others, which take slower turns-such as “Lose You to Love Me,” and “Vulnerable,” the latter portrays her fear of revealing herself and her loved ones: “If I show you all my demons and we dive into the deep end would we crash and burn like every time before?”

“Cut You Off” and “Fun” precede the final piece: “A Sweeter Place.” The first two songs talk about cutting off bad people from her life and have  positive messages that are relatable to many of her fans.
